Hand Thrown Functional Pottery
Mostly true tales by Gary Rosenberg, potter. No other website so handily combines the beauty of hand made pottery with a single reference to Star Trek in this or any other universe. This statement cannot be confirmed or denied. A conspiracy theorist would have you believe this is not true.
About Your New Piece of Pottery- Care and Usage Information
Everything is Dishwasher safe, Microwave safe and Oven (not freezer to oven) safe.
Your pot is hand made on the potter’s wheel using the finest stoneware clay the earth has to offer. You can safely put food in it and serve it to pets or humans. Your food may not taste better, but it will look marvelous. Don’t worry- it’s tough. Your pot was fired in a kiln to 2,200 degrees. Do you think your puny little oven is going to hurt it? Put it in the microwave and nuke it to your heart’s content. The glaze is lead-free so it is food safe, and long-term usage won’t make you any stupider than you already are. Also, you can put your pot in the dishwasher and it won’t scratch; it will also get clean that way. Don’t take it from the freezer and put it in the oven. That’s not a good thing. Use your pot. If you put it on a shelf, it will fall one day and break. So why not get some enjoyment and just use it until it breaks? If they don’t break how would potters stay in business? Enjoy!
